Robert Rodenbaugh – Principal
As an educator for over two decades, my goal has always been focused on making the difference in the lives of students, their families and the people with whom I work. As a teacher and as a principal, improving education to meet and accomplish academic, social, and emotional objectives has been my driving passion.
Sarah Mena – Counselor
I received my Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Arizona State University and my Master of Arts in Education/Educational Counseling from the University of Phoenix. I hold a certification in Guidance Counseling for grades Pre-K thru 12.
Prior to working at Blueprint High School, I worked as a College Academic Advisor and a Case Manager for Maricopa County’s SMI population.
Patrick Lamb – Teacher
I have a BBA in Management from the University of Oklahoma, and a Master’s in Education from the University of Wilmington. For six years, I’ve been teaching grades 7-12 in Social Studies and Mathematics, and was lucky enough to coach junior high basketball and varsity football for three years.
Evelyn Plantillas – ESS Teacher
I received a B.A. in Elementary Ed. and a M.A. in Special Ed. both from Arizona State University. I began my career teaching elementary students in California before returning home to teach at the high school level. In my 40 years of teaching I have instructed both regular and special education classes. As well, I have had the opportunity to serve as an adjunct faculty member at ASU and am a former member of the Mesa Community College Alumni Board. My ongoing goal has been to promote, encourage and model learning.
Scott Adelmann – Teacher
Professional Background:I have ten years of experience in Summer Camps and Educational Camping, working nearly every position from camp counselor to manager. I entered the more formal setting of a classroom four years ago, after completing a Master’s Degree in Education. I spent a year as an instructional aide at Fountain Hills High School before taking over a sixth grade classroom in the Creighton School District. After another year, teaching fifth grade, I determined that I was better suited to teach in a high school. I have recently completed the necessary steps toward certification for Secondary Education.I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in English and I have published two collections of poetry.
Kris Flaven – Teacher
I have an MAED from Northern Arizona State University and have been teaching for 9 years. I have specialized in science and alternative education for most of my career, teaching at some of the most challenging schools in South Phoenix and on the Gila River Reservation. Before teaching, I had a career in sales, marketing and recruiting but wanted to make a difference in the lives of young people.
Gil Gutierriez – Teacher
I have over 16 years of Mathematics (a few years of Computer) teaching experience with 4 years in school administration. I attained my Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Oklahoma Panhandle State University, my Master of Science in Education from Newman University, and am a doctoral candidate at West Texas A & M. I am also a doctoral candidate in Educational Administration.
Lorraine Hernandez – Administrative Assistant
I have worked in the public education system for over 10 years. My experience has always been in the front office. This is where I apply my knowledge and experience to the best of my ability.
